Below are some
photos of the1907 Victor IV (or
Victor "The Fourth").
The restoration of this talking machine was completed February 25, 2006.
The Victor IV was manufactured
by The Victor Talking Machine
Co. from 1902 to 1920 and was originally priced between $45
to $50. The Victor IV came standard with a double-spring
motor, an Exhibition Reproducer, and a Victor 9-panel horn.
This mahogany talking machine was completely
restored back to factory condition using the same techniques as when the
machine was new. Shellac and varnish were applied and hand rubbed between
coats which completely duplicates the original finish. The motor and reproducer
were also rebuilt.
